THE REMASTERED DVD PROJECT The remastered edition of OHMSS - the ABC Cut is a project I completed for my personal viewing pleasure. It is a faithful shot-for-shot recreation of the original 1976 ABC broadcast whose video source is the official MGM dvd. Passages of ABC narration lifted from a recording of the actual original broadcast have been mixed with the soundtrack of the MGM dvd. The remastered edition preserves every aspect of the original broadcast and includes every transition, every censor cut, every rearranged shot and even the 'Part 2' promo and 'Part 1' recap which featured at the end and beginning of the two parts respectively. The remastered version is a two-disc dvd set housed on two single-layered dvd-r's. Each disc is fully chaptered and features a menu-based navigation system. The project exists in both the PAL and NTSC colour systems as a test for my MPEG2 and DVD authoring packages. Both packages passed the test with flying colours. Due to copyright restrictions, I am unable to sell or even trade the remastered version of the ABC Cut so please do not ask me for copies.
